New Co-Chair for B Local Greater Manchester

The B Local for Greater Manchester appoints a new co-chair, Molly Gould, founder of communications agency, Effable.

The local arm of B Lab UK based in the North West serves as a hub for B Corp businesses to gather, network, and grow, supported by a programme of local events to foster community and connection.

B Corp stands for Benefit for All Corporation, and the movement has grown to over 2,000 businesses in the UK choosing to certify under the B Corp banner. Brands in the North West that hold the certification include Faith in Nature, Bradbners, The Modern Milkman, to name just a few.

Molly Gould joins the team of co-chairs to support the growth of B Corp awareness in the region and the range of events on offer for both certified B Corps and aspiring businesses, too.

The appointment was kicked off with an event to mark 10 years of the UK B Corp movement, hosted in Manchester and with speakers from B Lab UK, Tyler Grange, Faith in Nature, Bio&Me and more. Over 200 guests gathered to learn more about the movement and celebrate a decade of impact at Campfield back in November.

“It’s a joy to join as a co-chair in our third year of being a B Corp ourselves. The movement stands for doing better, and that has been Effable’s mission from the very beginning. We have a packed out event schedule this year to support local B Corps, and to encourage others to consider what the movement might mean to their own business - and we’re excited to see our North West community grow”
- Molly Gould, founder of Effable
