Three ways to unlock your creativity
The 3PM slump or something to do with the moon, sometimes that creative flow just feels a million miles away. You’ve scrolled, you’ve sighed, and even made your way through the admin tasks in the depths of your to do list, but it’s time to shake things up (literally), so here are three unhinged ways to find that creative flow so you can get down to the good stuff.
Shake it out
Stagnant energy needs to move, and if you’re stuck feeling like you have no way to turn, then that energy needs to vamos, and fast. Energy has to flow, and when it gets stuck, that’s when we procrastinate or can’t tap into our knowing, intuition, and flow state. Start small with a shrug of the shoulder or a flick out through the fingers, make it bigger, bolder, shimmy and shake, stamp and jump, and get that energy moving, shaking, and fizzing. It works, promise.
Go get wet
Not always the most practical, but water holds magic. From ideas in the shower to that undisturbed thinking time during a dip, we’ve all felt it. Have a shower to unblock your mind, take a wild dip or a cold plunge, and feel the ideas come flooding back. Why does it work? Water is a conduit for energy, and it can unlock ideas, intentions, emotions, and more. Try it on for size.
Feel the noise
Shout it out loud. One of the many reasons we can be creatively blocked is because our throat chakra is out of balance. Unblocking that energy centre through humming, shouting, projecting, creating noise, it one of the quickest energy fixes for that whirring mind. Pick somewhere you feel able to express (cars are always great) and let it out. Sing at the top of your lungs to your favourite song, or just let rip with whatever noise is going to exit your mouth.
Are these office friendly? It depends who you sit next to. But, a promise is that they work, and they will snap you out of sleep-state and into creation so you can keep on keeping on.
Any more to add? We’re all ears.
